Amazing how fast a year goes. Henry had his first birthday a few weeks back. We had a few friends overs to celebrate and have some cake. Enjoy the video

Well summer’s over and fall is fighting hard not to give up to winter. We had a nice summer hanging around the city. Henry seems to have enjoyed what it has to offer from parks to food.

We spent the 4th of July and the week after in Vermilion, OH. We found the place while planning our trip to Tyler’s wedding, Robyn’s brother. It was a little more than midway and seemed nice. We had a great time, very peaceful and quiet. The town was founded by a group from Connecticut the that had been displaced during the Revolutionary War. The town has a bit of a New England feel and the town square reminded us of being back in Connecticut.[singlepic id=207 w=320 h=240 float=none]

A long time ago I used to teach swim lessons. In general, I avoided teaching what was called “Mommy and me” and is now referred to as Parent & Child. The name change is appropriate since 8 of the 10 parents in my class are fathers. Mandatory swim caps are pretty common in NY, it’s always bugged me, but making them mandatory for a 9 month old is silly. Needless to say Hank and I are having a fun and he wears his swim cap through about 50% of the class then is disappears… Enjoy the video.
